[Movie] Tekken Review

You guys remember my post a few days ago right?
Tekken is coming to cinemas!! And finally , I got the opportunity to catch this game based movie one day before the release date. All thanks to nuffnang <3

Lets get straight to the point shall we? Tekken... was so fucking awesome.
Is that a typo? No. Its not. Just wipe your eyes clean when reading the above again.
Yes its true. Tekken was awesome. It gave me such a shock really, getting to see a game based movie do so well. Lets get to the pros. What the heck am I thinking? Saying tekken is awesome, looking at the trailer, its gonna be fail like dragonball. Just wipe those inputs clean cause this one is something worth waiting and watching. It clears your impression on action movies ever again. To be more precise, fighting films. You remember the legends right? Wong fei hong, Ip man, ong bak, yeah they were fuckken awesome. But I tell you, this is one flick that combines all of those movie elements. Packed with almost every type of martial art in the movie, this one is a great challenge not to miss. Wing chun, thai kickboxing, you name it.
The fighting scenes, they will keep your eyes wide open. THEY DO NOT DISAPPOINT.

Okay other than that its storyline, not too bad. I am not a one to say I am disappointed with the storyline cause I never even played tekken before. But this movie seriously one hell of a kick on your impression of fighting movies. Blood scattering everywhere, the feeling you get watching your favourite character dealing with the worst villian, while sitting at the peak of your chairs. Yeah you get what I mean. About the looks of the character, well they do look like the ones in the game. Even though theres some difference but its quite oblivious.

Enough with the rolls, Check this one out in the cinema and you will not be disappointed.
Action packed, pro climax with never ending suspense.

Overall rating : 8.5/10

[Movie] Avatar :The Last Airbender Review

Yeap, yeap. Guess what? I was invited to the premier screening of Avatar: The Last Airbender at Cathay Cineleisure. (Which is also known as E @ The Curve). Yippie! Yet another one to review.

So what movie is this anyway? The Last Airbender.. It is actually a really kinda famous cartoon that is played on nickelodeon almost everyday for the past few years. No kidding!
They look like this..

Yeah. Real kiddy huh? Haha then if thats what your thinking..
M. night shyamalan just got lucky with the sixth sense. And now the famous director is back. With The Last Airbender.

Okayy.. lets get to the review shall we?
If you have waited long enough.. looking at the trailer thinking... wow this is one movie I ought to catch in the cinemas.. IN 3D! Well don't bother. This movie is about a small kid, really short compared to the one in the cartoons. Despite being reborned thousands of times, he is back to save the earth from the fire nation. Just why him? Because he is the only one in the world to have powers to bend all 4 elements. Air, Fire , Water and Earth.
Yeah you are right, this movie really knows how to make use of their CGI powers.
Despite having average battle scenes, their fights using the elements was not bad at all. Really. Not bad at all. Fire blasting everywhere around you, Its like you could feel the heat burning around you in that hall. And not to mention those sound effects, darn it. The sound effects came from everywhere, really done well. Its like you could really experience the power of those THX or Dolby digital speakers, sounds of water droplets, fire burning, wind blowing and also earth bending.. yeah the sound system takes the cake.

But as for the storyline... Well. Hell no.
I mean the cartoon storyline is good. But the movie, really has a weak storyline.
You couldn't even feel a moment of suspense at all, like seriously. Its dull and boring and its only those fight scenes that keep you awake throughout the movie. Other than that, the movie also has quite alot of unnecessary scenes. Hmm.. what else can I say...
One more thing to add in, Why are they using indians as the fire nation? I mean.. in the cartoon they were chinese. (Not being racist or anything) but.. Indians using chopsticks in the movie? Oh well...
Theres really nothing interesting about the movie to say other than those I said in the above..
Oh yeah. The ending. And you thought Inception's ending was WTF. Well, If you watch the last airbender, u will WTFFFFFFU---. (In a bad way)
AND WTH, They are making 4 more movies? Which means 4 sequels? no waiz.

Okay..If you are those fans who watch the cartoon, then go and catch this flick and what I've said maybe wrong. Just maybe.

Overall rating: 5.5/10

[Movie] The Sorcerer's Apprentice Review

Hmm, The sorcerer's apprentice. Ring any bells?
It is the hollywood remake of the infamous disney mickey cartoon! Which also goes by the name of The sorcerer's apprentice.
*Picture Below*

And yes I know all of you remember him making the brooms wash the floor with some weird music or something like that. Thats what you can feel with the movie.
First impression was, WOW NICHOLAS CAGE AND NATIONAL TREASURE director.Well, no.
I felt quite disappointed with this movie because it was such such such a typical disney movie.
I mean after watching prince of persia, you thought, wow. This is disney?
This does not do well with sorcerer's apprentice. What about the spells? They remind you of harry potter right? Well in the movie, all you can see are lame ass spells that work like Goku's kamehameha. Not trying to bash those disney movie goes but what....
The resemblance with that mickey mouse cartoon, way too much.

Nicolas cage should do something more like Bangkok Dangerous.
Just nah. You will feel exactly how you fell when you were watching those disney flicks over and over again, somehow like enchanted, but worse.
So yeah. Get the message?
The action of that china/asian dude was too little and the dragon died in 1 blow. fake enough.

Conclusion: Predictable, bland. meh.
Overall rating: 5/10
Gotta be honest when reviewing though.

Tekken is in the Cinemas!!

The critically acclaimed Namco videogame franchise TEKKEN is set to come to life on the big screen.

Woot! After some time, tekken is finally going to be in the cinemas!
This movie is based on a game, which I used to play on my playstation 1, and its gonna be quite the fun to watch the action on such a big screen!

Well, who is my favorite character from the series?

....
....

obviously it would be Jin Kazama!
Who wouldn't watch or even play tekken without him in play? That super badass which can falcon punch your head in just one punch.
I really hope I would have a chance to catch this movie, on the premier itself!

Ups for TEKKEN!
