SNSD/Girls' Generation in Malaysia Twin Towers @live 2012

After all these years of praying, surveys, postings, gatherings, and more, Girls' Generation (So Nyuh Shi Dae) finally made their way to Malaysia! Organized by Jojo Events & Petronas, Twin Towers @live 2012 this year brought us great luck after announcing that Girls' Generation would be in the line up. It shook the k-pop audience worldwide as fans from all over Malaysia and even Asia rushed to grab tickets to this event. It is held at KLCC yesterday 23 March 2012 and it even expected a crowd of 70,000 attendees. Only 8 members of SNSD made their way here as Yuri didn't arrive due to schedules conflict. Unfortunately, media moshpit was really far from stage and the event organizing was shit. It was my honest opinion to say that this year's Twin Towers @live had the worst event management I've ever seen in my life, making the event highly chaotic and messy. Free zones were allowed into the event after a certain period of time whereas people spent RM300 for the tickets, secruity were shit, organizer were shit, there wasn't any official queue or anything. This were just some of the flaws of this event. Jojo events, I beg your professionalism. If it wasn't for So Nyuh Shi Dae there wouldn't be any supporters of Petronas or Jojo events. After SNSD had performed, the crowds left the venue even though the main event hadn't ended. Nevertheless, I managed to get a few photos, below.

The girls performed a total of 6 songs: The Boys, Genie, Hoot, Run Devil Run, Mr. Taxi, Gee.
And they promised to be back soon next time as a full group with Kwon Yuri who was absent this time due to her busy schedule. We can't wait right?!

Girls' Generation/SNSD to join Twin Tower @live 2012

The forthcoming TWIN TOWERS @LIVE 2012 is proud to
announce the addition of Greek Australian rock guitarist sensation Orianthi to the artiste line-up set to
perform at the base of the PETRONAS Twin Towers.
The first of the two-day free-to-public concert will see American singer, songwriter and dancer Nicole
Scherzinger joined by Korean pop girl-group Girls’ Generation, Malaysia’s top artistes James
Baum, Reshmonu and DJ Nadine will take to the stage on Friday, 23 March 2012. Taking to the
stage as the show’s host is model, actress and TV personality Jojo Struys.
Joining the show’s A-list cast of international artistes, Orianthi will take to the stage alongside
American R&B/Dance star Kelis on the second of two shows on Saturday 24 March 2012. Also
performing on that night are multi-award winning Malaysian star Faizal Tahir and DJ Nikki. The show
will be hosted by Miss Universe Malaysia 2011, Deborah Henry.
Dubbed as one of the world’s best promising and talented female rock guitarist, Orianthi has received
numerous accolades since being selected to be Michael Jackson’s lead guitarist for his ill-fated tour in
2009. Having performed with legendary artistes like Prince and Eric Clapton, she has even opened for
Steve Vai. An accomplished performer, in 2011 Orianthi was announced as Alice Cooper’s new
guitarist, becoming the first female member of the band. She comments, “I am excited about
coming to perform in Malaysia at the TWIN TOWERS @LIVE 2012 for the very first time. To be
able to come back and visit the country and to play right here in the heart of Kuala Lumpur at
the base of one of the world’s most famous towers is definitely an experience I am looking
forward too!”

Taking to the turntables at the TWIN TOWERS @LIVE 2012 are two of the country’s top and
accomplished DJ’s. Sporting their own unique style of entertainment; established model and Miss
Universe Malaysia 2010 DJ Nadine (Nadine Ann Thomas) is set to perform on Friday, while DJ Nikki
will bring her versatile, fresh and exciting set to the stage on Saturday.
Set to be an unforgettable international show in the Kuala Lumpur City Centre, entrance to the TWIN
TOWERS @LIVE 2012 concert venue is free to the public.

Ticket Information
The concert is free to members of the public in the public access area. There are ticketed zones
which can be obtained via several channels.
Purchase RM150 worth of merchandise at the 2012 Formula 1™ PETRONAS Malaysia Grand Prix
Showcase at the concourse level of Suria KLCC and be entitled to two (2) Fan Zone tickets. Spend
RM300 worth of merchandise and be in the running for four (4) Fan Zones tickets. Tickets are
available for both concert days. Subject to availability.

Partial Road Closure Announcement
In preparation for the TWIN TOWERS @LIVE 2012, the concert management in collaboration with the
police and Kuala Lumpur City Hall wish to inform of partial road closures along several roads within
the immediate vicinity of the concert venue.
The scheduled partial closure will take place from 5.00p.m to 3.00a.m on 23rd and 24th March and will
affect the following roads:
1. The intersection of Jalan Ampang and Persiaran KLCC, closest to Maxis Tower
2. Main intersection of Jalan Ampang, Jalan Yap Kwan Seng and Jalan P Ramlee
3. Jalan P Ramlee from the main intersection towards the intersection with Jalan Pinang
4. The intersection of Jalan Pinang and Persiaran KLCC
5. Persiaran KLCC infront of the two towers
Note: Members of the public will still be able to utilise alternative roads leading to Jalan Sultan Ismail.
Please follow instructions by the traffic police.

Universal Music Malaysia and KNUKEast present ‘Universal K-pop Crazy Party’ in Kuala Lumpur!

Come this February 11th, Universal Music Malaysia and KNUKEast will present the first K-pop fan-gathering of the year ‘Universal K-pop Crazy Party’ from 3pm onwards at Bentley Music Auditorium in Mutiara Damansara. This invite-only event will consist of various activities including competitions for fans such as K-pop Artist Impersonations, K-pop Cover Dance Competition, Quiz and Fun-Games session, Best Dressed Awards and a lucky draw with chances to win a trip to Super Junior’s sold-out Super Show 4 in Singapore or Beast’s Beautiful Show and other cash prizes, as well as autographed artist merchandise. There will also be a video booth and signing booth for fans to leave personal messages to their stars of choice. Fan-clubs are also invited to submit their impersonator candidates to add cheer to the event.

The event will be highlighting new and current K-pop stars under the Universal Music label, including artists from CUBE Entertainment (Beast, 4Minute, G.Na, Troublemaker), SM Entertainment (TVXQ, Super Junior, Girls Generation, f(x)) and JYP (2AM, Wonder Girls, MBlaq) and many more.

The main event headlining the event will be the Universal K-pop Crazy Party Cover Dance Competition, open to groups of two to nine after purchasing one of the Universal K-pop Artist albums, Super Junior’s ‘Mr. Simple’, Girls’ Generation’s ‘The Boys’ and Troublemaker’s Mini EP or selected caller ringtones. Ten groups will be selected to choose a song from a selected list of songs to be in the running to win cash prizes and a Universal Music hamper.

On the day itself, there will also be booths selling K-pop artists merchandise, including calendars, diaries and more, as well as albums and food booths from local Korean restaurants.

First 200 caller ringtones downloaders from each of the three telcos (Maxis, Celcom and Digi) will receive an invite via SMS and automatically be in the running to win the tickets to the concerts. Fans can also purchase Super Junior’s ‘Mr. Simple’ album, Girls’ Generation’s ‘The Boys’ album or HyunA & JS’s ‘Troublemaker’ Mini EP album to receive invites to the party.

2012 Play! F.T. Island Press Conference ; Pictures & Coverage

The following day after the Meet the fans session, Square Roots held a Press Conference specifically for the media & sponsors to attend. The Press Conference was held at DoubleTree Hilton hotel as early as 10.00am in the morning. Local press and media flocked by so they can take a look at this very awesome band. We were surprised to see that many attendees from local media at the Press Conference and we had concluded that k-pop events has already became a hit in Malaysia. Some of the pictures taken -

2012 Play! F.T. Island Meet The Fans ; Pictures & Coverage

In conjunction with the solo concert F.T. Island would be bringing us tomorrow night at the stadium negara, F.T. Island also prepared a little session with the Malaysian F.T. Island fans, also known as Primadonnas. This was held at Hilton DoubleTree hotel in Kuala Lumpur just this very night so many fans from around the country gathered to witness one of the top bands in South Korea. Organized by Square Roots, this is one of the concerts that will very well kickstart the year of 2012, another year of successful hallyu. It will be a treat for fans tomorrow as they had prepared the whole thing from stage designs to song selections so stay tuned on updates on the concert tomorrow. For now take a look at the pictures of the Meet the fans session which was also a kind of "Fansign" event while they personally greet the fans.

Alexander in Malaysia Showcase ; Pictures & Coverage

Alexander ( A former member of U-kiss ) decided to make his solo debut sometime last year. And where better to kick start his solo career other than putting on a show in one of his favorite countries - Malaysia! There was a crowd waiting right outside the roads of Cheras Leisure mall very that day on 18 December 2011 while they were patiently waiting for Alexander.
The showcase tickets were also sold off at an affordable price so that the beloved Xanderettes could take this opportunity to have a great time with their idol.

He performed his new hit songs , Bad girl , Oh baby! & the title track of his new album, I Just. He also stunned the audience when he performed songs like “情非得已” (Taiwanese Drama Meteor Garden OST), “That Man” (Secret Garden OST) and also surprised the crowd when he danced to LMFAO's Party Rock Anthem.

Rania @ Countdown Concert 2012 ; Pictures & Coverage

Did you all know that Rania and Ella (S.H.E) came down internationally and specifically to celebrate the new year with us? How sweet of them to join their wonderful fans at the Countdown Concert 2012 that happened yesterday night at Sunway Lagoon Surf Beach. Gathering local artistes and bands such as Da Monster and Dragon Red, this explosive event was the most epic way to end off the year 2011. Co organized by Magnum Live and Sunway Lagoon, the event promptly started off at 8pm. Rania performed 5 songs including their 3 title tracks, Dr. Feel good , Masquerade and Pop pop pop. And 2 other ballad songs. Swarming with MYRania fans and Ella fans, it was a dream for them to spend the new year celebrations and watching the fireworks together with their idols. Rania were flawless at the event and garnered the most support and screams.
